Errors on the bottom of each page

Hi All

I hope someone can help me.
At the bottom of each Page I'm getting a list of errors displayed even thoug I have set display_errors = Off in the php.ini.
You can see the errors as well as the configuration of the php.ini Here

display_errors is a boolean. Try setting it to FALSE (note, no quotes)

Thanks for the reply, unfortunatly that did not make a difference.

Did you restart PHP after changing the php.ini?

If it didn't work, you may need to check the other settings which can affect this... see the relevant manual page for more info.

By restarting PHP do you mean restarting IIS? if thats's the case then yes.
in the past any changes I have made have taken effect by restarting IIS.

Yes, I guess that should have done it - sorry, I'm not hugely familiar with the IIS environment, I haven't worked on that since around 2000 and that wasn't a PHP gig.

Check the manual page I linked to in case another setting might be different to what you want.

Ok I thnk I'm going out of my mind.
I have turned error reporting off all togeather and I'm still getting the errors displayed at the bottom of the page.

These are php startup errors. There is a seperate variable in your .ini file to switch these off, not sure what its called (at work ATM), but that should help (just search your .ini). Looks like your php install might be playing up though.

It looks very much like these errors are not in your script and so may not be cotrolled by the standard error reporting switches.

It looks like your PHP installation is buggered. I'm afraid I don't know anything about Windows PHP installations to help get to the to bottom of this, but it looks as if your PHP and your modules have been comipled using different options. You should definitely try to remove these errors rather than suppressing the notification. How do you feel about doing a reinstall of PHP?

Figured it out and fixed.

Some one Put DLL's from PHP 4 in the Extentions directory. I replaced them all with the correct version and the errors are gone.

I have as extension_dir = "./extensions" ..... when I look at the info that comes from php_info it says extension_dir = "c:\php4"

I already restarted IIS
what's wrong?? I made some changes to php.ini because I was getting Call to undefined function: mssql_connect()

Well change it to wherever the /ext directory is usually within the /php directory.

Are you running a phpinfo() and getting the same result AFTER restarting Apache.

If this is the case then you are not editing the "active" php.ini file? PHP comes with two files php.ini-dist and php.ini-recommended. Do a hard disk search for php.ini and make sure there is not more than one of them and one of those that are different are probably the proper or "active" so make all instances of whatever you have been editing agree with one another then restart Apache and check phpinfo() again.

I had the php.ini in my c:\php folder and added that folder to the windows path variable.
I moved the php.ini to the windows folder and now I get the correct c:\php\extensions folder in the phpinfo() output......but if I try my php script now I get a "No input file specified" ??????

IAnd the file is in the htdocs folder as it should be is this true? Just do a simple script that merely echos something and let us know what happens. Try something like

This shouldn't be anything with the php code, as nothing is inputed.

Also simplexml_load_string() doesn't work properly, but mysql functions seems to work ok.

I have just upgraded from 5.1.1 to 5.1.2 as an attempt to resolve the issue, but as you can see it didn't help.

I'm running on a SuSE 10 Linux Server.

Does anyone have any ideas?

If you run phpinfo() on the windows platform, the 5th item down is the Configuration File (php.ini) Path. Make sure you have your current active php.ini file in this location.

Ok.... it's working if I put the test.php under c:\Inetpub\wwwroot .... but if I put it in a subdirectory it stops working...says "No input file specified." the configuration I did was for the whole "default web site"... so it should work, right?
