Best Practices: Coding for Security

With the countless number of different types of hacker attacks out there, is there any kind of list of hacker attacks and how to write your code to thwart them? I could go sifting through all these discussions for weeks and probably miss half of what I should prepare for.

If not, perhaps we should start cataloging all of the things that should be done to ensure secure PHP/MySQL applications...

This topic has been talked about many many times on this board. Im sure if you search you will find alot of opinions on the subject. In fact I remember there being a monster thread on the topic.
