Is there a way or a code edit I can do for phpBB so that like posts like this:

Instead of 3093 posts can you make it 3,093 posts, seperate it with a comma ???

So which file do I open, which line do i look for, and which code do i insert??

Probably:
viewpost_body.tpl

Look for the column that shows the information... compare the parsed template (what you see in your browser), with the code. Obviously, there will be some symmetry.

I think you'd end up looking for a like like:
$language[$lang]['L_POST_COUNT']
or however their language array is created, I can't think of it off the top of my head...

In viewtopic_body.tpl I found this coding:

In that line there is {postrow.POSTER_POSTS}

So what would I edit to it to make it so that wen its in thousands it will have a comma??

well, you'd have to then search in all the PHP files for POSTER_POSTS and see what functions are applied to it. Inside the PHP code is where you use [man]number_format[/man]

OK so the places I want it to show the , in the post count would be in posts.. and profiles.... so they files would be viewtopic_body.tpl and viewprofile_body.tpl

Then I search they 2 files for POSTER_POSTS and then what to I edit or add to the code?? (I never understood that website good 🙁 )

Open viewtopic.php

Find, around line 837 this line:

$poster_posts = ( $postrow[$i]['user_id'] != ANONYMOUS ) ? $lang['Posts'] . ': ' . $postrow[$i]['user_posts'] : '';

Replace that with this:

$poster_posts = ( $postrow[$i]['user_id'] != ANONYMOUS ) ? $lang['Posts'] . ': ' . number_format($postrow[$i]['user_posts']) : '';

Open memberlist.php

Find, around line 164, this:

$posts = ( $row['user_posts'] ) ? $row['user_posts'] : 0;

Replace with:

$posts = ( $row['user_posts'] ) ? number_format($row['user_posts']) : 0;

Save all documents
Upload to server
Refresh page and view new number format!!

There's probably a couple more spots, but those should get you started... it's now up to you to find the rest... I think there's only one more in usercp_*.php....

Thanks man worked fine 🙂 Showing in the posts and thats decent enough.. only other place I need 2 sort is the profile.. so ill muck about myself and hopefully then learn how to do it.. if not ill reply with help 🙂
