Simple Integration with Flash.

Hi,

I've built the flash side of simple rating system, using slider bars like the one on the link below,

the trouble I have, as a NOOB, is the know how of getting the submited visitor rating/value (1-10) to a mysql database (or text file) then the value added with the other visitor values to produce an average/overall rating value which gets sent back to flash.

I've figured out that php is required to do this proceedure, and it seems simple (for you experts no doubt) but after years of learning HTML, Javascipt and now Flash, reading up on php and mysql tutorials is causing me really bad headaches.

The value of the submitted visitor rating I am calling "ur8" and the value of the overall rating "or8".

Thank you in advance for any advice or guidance you may give me on this problem.

You'll want to google for tutorials on using php with mysql. There's already plenty on the net, no need for us to rewrite them here.
