[RESOLVED] glob to get the files.

Say the images might be 1, or 2, or all 3 of these 3 files "1.gif", "1.jpg", "1.png".

glob($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT']."/images/1.gif;1.jpg;1.png")

Say, if I want to go to this folder to get any files with name "1", with gif, jpg, png extension. the above code will do, right?

My next question is how can I sort the result array by the extension, gif, jpg, png?

But if you're going to sort them by extension afterwards you might as well collect them separately, and then you wouldn't need to.

This is what I get from the manual comments:

My question is what percentage of the php running now still before 4.3.6? If I want my scripts portable, can I use GLOB_BRACE? How to prevent the codes crash if it is installed on pre 4.3.6. (If not crash, return null etc. I am fine with that.)

Here's an example of how to use the GLOB_BRACE flag:

?>

It's also worth noting that when using the GLOB_BRACE flag in any version of PHP prior to 4.3.4, PHP will crash if no matches are found
