An unmatched opening brace. You need to properly format your code (i.e. indent), and perhaps use a text editor with support for matching braces/parenthesis/brackets.

Also, I don't think an assignment operator is what you want here:

And, instead of pasting " " out to Andromeda, you could use variables:

As a side note, instead of repeating all of the non-breaking spaces, you could use an inline style declaration to push content over. Example:

<p>This is on the left: <span style="padding-left:250px;">and this is on the right</span></p>

In my opinion, it makes for cleaner coding and a more precise layout...

You need an elseif rather than the first else

You need to change the first else into a elseif to then have another else afterwards.

If the last else is not suppose to be part of that if..else statement then you've closed one of the nested if statements too early

Impossible to say for sure given what you've posted, but it's probably much the same reason as for the original poster: the first "else" in what you've posted isn't paired with an earlier if().

i'm trying to do a similar thing and getting problems myself where you want to change the colors of the rows etc.

this works but when i try and put in my code to see if there are no records it all seems to fall apart.

A do/while loop would be incorrect in this situation, since PHP would first execute what's inside the do {} portion; inside the loop, however, you reference $row_Recordset1 which won't be defined until after the first iteration (when then while() condition is evaluated).

That's why database loops are almost always while() loops instead of do/while loops.

Firstly, an elseif cannot follow an else, as the else must be the last block of an if/elseif/else chain. Also, you cannot have any commands between connected blocks of such a chain.
