Screen Scraping Batch Job using a Loop

Is it possible to do a batch job on screen scraping, i am trying to use preg_match_all, I want to scrape the information about about a member, i have all the member names in a list and would like to do a loop,
by getting one member name at a time. and would like to give a 15 seconds sleep(), Please is it possible to do.

Yup it's possible. Just gotta have the right RegEx.

Hello Pat,

I will be using a shared hosting server, will that be ok to loop. You mentioned with right regex its possible, is that related to the registry.

I will get the names in the list, and do the loop by geting one name at a time, and do the screen scraping and save the info. to TABLE and then get another name do do the same scraping and saving info to table, like that until all the names are brought and scraped from the list box, there i would like to use the sleep function for each turn around in the loop. for may be 30 seconds.

No, it has nothing to do with the registry, but it has everything to do with preg_match_all. 😉 RegExp stands for Regular Expressions, and they are the method used in PCRE functions (like preg_match, preg_replace, etc etc). PCRE Pattern Syntax.
