[RESOLVED] problem with mail() and window server

I have a site hosted on a windows server. I use the mail() function to send mails from the site. Sometimes the mail is not sent:

Warning: mail(): SMTP server response: 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for [e-mail] in

Is there a solution for that?

Usually on a windows box, PHP will be using SMTP to relay mails via the local host.

The MS IIS SMTP server (which ships with Windows) does not allow this by default, and must have its configuration changed to allow relaying from localhost. This is not a security liability.

My solution, 🙂 , was to download the phpmailer class and it's smtp class from sourceforge.net
It has everything I needed inside.
