[RESOLVED] PHP Cgi doesn't like INNER JOIN maybe?

Oh, this is spooky. Same data...same everything...

My local server handles this perfectly. The live server won't return anything. The live server is a php/cgi compilation...and I'm wondering if this could possibly be the problem?

This has nothing to do with PHP. There has to be some difference in the datasets of the two SQL servers.

Try simplifying the query until you get results then slowly rebuild it until you get nothing.

When you say the live server wont return ANYTHING, what, exactly do you mean? completely blank page, empty table that should have data, etc...

If the page is blank, and show source shows you nothing (or only open / close HTML tags kinda thing) then you likely have an error in your page. OR a misconfigured server.

Can ANY query work at all? Is this maybe an authentication issue? Try to narrow things down a bit for us and yourself...

Sorry...I wasn't clear.

I built the query up and down, backwards and forwards and it would only cooperate if I took out three lines from the query (not two, not one, but all three):

INNER JOIN mww_sections ON mww_objects.section_id = mww_sections.secid 
INNER JOIN mww_users ON mww_objects.creator = mww_users.ID 
INNER JOIN mww_templates ON mww_objects.templid = mww_templates.templid

I still don't get it but my query was pretty fast and loose. I tightened it up, reducing what I want it to fetch, and it's fine. But I still don't competely get why identical recordsets and queries were acting this way...

Anyways, solved...

What happens if you turn those inner joins into left joins? I bet you find a lot of nulls coming back. Try it, let us know what happens.
