Arrays used in standard function problem

Could someone tell me why this function doesn't work. The above code is the function code and the one below is the code I use now which works:

			}

WORKS

if ($bids[1] != $maxbids[1]) {
			echo "<a href=javascript:load('artikel".$artikel[1].".php')><img src=".$pic[1]."></a><br>";
			}
			else { echo "<img src='".$picfinished[1]."'><br>";
			}
            echo $bidsleft[1];

$bids, $maxbids, $artikel, $picfinished and $bidsleft all are not passed to the function.

You could use

global $bids, $maxbids, $artikel, $picfinished, $bidsleft;

Also, $maxbids['$nr'] and the others that use the variable will not use the variable, remove the single quotes.

that did the trick. thank's for the fast reply! and one more question: If I call this functions lets say 12 times on one php page, does it bog down the page alot?

No, it'll be just the same as if you called the same piece of code 12 times.

You'd need a lot more to slow down your PHP app 😉
