[RESOLVED] file(), not able to read http://....

Hi,
Need some advise on this one;

Running FC5 with and yumed with latest updates.

I'm trying to read HTTP respons as file, using func file().

Tried example from Manual, and others.

I can read local text file, but when changing aredress to http://localhost/ , it doesnt work.

Tried fopen() as well, without any luck.

the variable: allow_url_fopen , in PHP.INI says On.

All suggestions are very appreciated.

I've got a suggestion. Get rid of fedora unless you like being a beta software tester and guinnea pig for Redhat. Fedora is the cause of countless problems with php and other programs depending on your setup. Specifically, having selinux enabled causes strange things to happen with filesystem functions. You can try to disable selinux and see if that fixes it. I'm not sure that's the problem but i wouldn't be surprised if it was.
