What is the best way to install Apache PHP and mysql.
I am running Windows XP home and use eTrust antivirus and firewall.

Is ıt best to use WAMP5 and install PHP5 mysql5 and Apache2
or should I stick to PHP 4 ???

Get XAMPP it comes with PHP 4 and 5 and you can switch between them plus you get Perl and a mailserver and a fileserver as well

Also - do I need to shut down my firewall / antiviru before using XAMPP ?

Mine is 2.2 with PHP 5.1.1 MySQL 5.0.18 It also come with PHP 4 not sure which version but most likely the latest version, I have never ahd to turn and firewall off ju downloaded and then ran the quick 5 minute install and was up and running.
