Has anyone else had problems accessing this forum?

Firefox 1.0.7 and win2k. Poked around, liked what I saw, signed up, got the confirmation email, clicked the link-- CRASH! Firefox bursts into flames, drops off my screen and that stinking feedback thing pops up. Try to reopen firefox. It asks me to create a profile? ugh.

Reboot. Firefox opens no problem. Come on back to the forum, and enter my username and password to sign in. Hit the button. CRASH! Firefox bursts into flames, drops off my screen . . . . you get the picture.

So here I am in Opera, a browser I care for just marginally more than I do Internet Exploder . . .

I'm hoping this is not going to be the case every time I try to enter this otherwise nice looking community using my browser of choice.

Update firefox? I'm using Firefox version 1.5.0.1 and I've had no problems.

btw, you can just ctrl+alt+del and kill the firefox process instead of rebooting.

Only trouble I've had with Fox or Daddy Moz was re: flash...and that on FreeBSD. You might try looking at that.

And, seeing as it's Win2K, everything's OK, system wise?

Win2k is solid here. No problems. I've actually had more problems with xp on the thinkpad than I have with 2k on the desktop.

I'm one of those people who hates to fix things if they're not broken. I guess I'll try updating firefox. sigh
