Software design trends

Dear php deveopers forum,

It is a great pleasure to be registered in this forum,

I am conducting a study on the use of software design patterns within software development projects , specially when used within the scope of integrating applications.

Although I wrote codes using JAVA /J2EE and MS .NET , but I know very little about coding in php.

I find it very important to take views of php developers through this form on an online questionaire that I use to collect relevant data.

My study is not biased to any software platform.

In fact I am mainly discussing use of design patterns regardless of the programming language used.
