[RESOLVED] Multiple PHP sites and IIS 6

I searched the board and didn't find a definitive answer on this (at least not one I hadn't tried). I have a default php website on an IIS 6 server (Windows Server 2003) and it works great. However, now I want to create a new php site on the same server. I have setup the new site correctly and it will display .htm files fine. I get a 404 error on the .php files. I set the ISAPI filter for the new site just like it is on the existing site.

I previously had the doc_root set to point to my existing php website. I commented this out in the ini file as I thought this may be creating my dilemma. No luck... any ideas? (Besides trashing IIS, :o I don't have a choice)

Have you restarted IIS?

In the properties of the new site, on the ISAPI filters tab, do you see the "PHP" ISAPI filter you installed? If you click on it, what does it say the status is (down below)?

On the Home Directory tab, what are the settings for Execute permissions and Application pool?

In that same Home Directory tab, there is a configuration button to the right of the Execute permissions dropdown. Click on it. Have you mapped the .php extension in here? If not, click the Add button, type ".php" for the extension, the full path to the ISAPI .dll file for Executable, leave Verbs to All verbs, and make sure that both checkboxes at the bottom are ticked.

The status of on the ISAPI filters tab is "Loaded"
The setttings for Execute permissions is "Scripts and Executables"
The configuration has the full mapping for php.exe and has All Verbs selected. Should the mapping be for the php5isapi.dll instead??

Thanks Brad... that was it. My existing working website had the application configuration mapping to php5isapi.dll and the new one had its config mapped to php.exe by default. I changed the new website to map to php5isapi.dll, restarted IIS, and now it works!

Yeah... looks like an attempt at using the CGI executable method. I've always preferred the ISAPI filter.
