well, it's certainly got some strange and unusual content on there (and that's not a recommendation, by the way), although, at first, greeted by the two friendly russians holding what looks like a plastic container of beer in one hand and ... one's got a bottle of vodka, and the other, an empty glass. I don't know how to spell it, but i think it's pronounced, phonetically, "nostrovia!"
anyway-- i realize the fact that i'm asking about this is probably annoying as hell to someone (or many) out there, and i'm honestly sorry for that-- i'm truly not trying to be, but this is something that i really should know, and i dont-- so, please humor me...
okay-- disregard his "link exchange" claim. what does he have to gain by sending me this link? ohhhhh... wait, i think i'm getting it now-- if you hadn't said "hit counter", i wouldn't have thought of this-- but... is this something where he just wants "hits"... doesn't care from whom or whence it came-- and basically "nothing" happens to me?
then, of course there's the sort-of "BIG BROTHER" kind of theory, in which someone is going as far as to try to log my activity trends / personality even could be measured by the fact that i visited, vs those who junk it straight away? (no, i'm not really that paranoid, i'm just thinking extreme scenario here)
i'm also a bit confused as to how i even received the mail. until a few days ago, i don't think i had any email references on the web site claimed to be the origin of my data (i guess it could be the catch-all though, but i thought i had that set to spam). obviously, this is nothing important-- just curious as to what others have to say. i'll get rid of those URL's if anyone would prefer it. at least i have one "possible" reason having received that mail.
