Did I do this right ?

Please can somone tell me if I did this correctly and if not make a correction for me.

You might want to increment $x so it can reach 50.

Now will this take 50, send emails, sleep and then update, and take another 50 and send email, sleep, update, and repeat it again so that it goes thru all of them ?

I want to make sure it takes 50, sends emails, does the update on those 50 and then grabs another 50...
