[RESOLVED] PHPMyAdmin Misbehaviour

Hello,
I've created a table using PHPMyAdmin. The Null value of some fields are set to Yes & their Default is blank. Please refer to clip_image001.jpg for a screen shot.

My problem arises when I upload my database into this table. PHPMyAdmin seems to automatically add the word NULL to some fields which makes my database look ugly. Please refer to clip_image002.jpg for a screen shot. How do I get rid of all these "NULL's"?

My database is coming from a tab delimited text file. I suspect that there could be some hidden characters in this text file which may be causing these "NULL's" to appear. Alternatively, is there a way for me to identify these hidden characters in the text file(if they exist)?

obvious question: are there NULLs in the text file?

anyway, can easily get rid of them with a simple udate query:

UPDATE table SET field = '' WHERE field IS NULL 

[transfield]
