Images show as URL - LAMP Setup

Hello all.

I have a new web server setup, but the problem is that it serves images as URL's. I have tried forcing my FTP client to binary when uploading them. In a directory listing they show as the proper file size. When viewing them, it just displays the path to the image and not the image itself. The path it displays is the correct path.

Running Apache2, PHP5, MySQL5 and Fedora 4.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Update

In IE6 I get a page cannot be displayed. In FF1.5 I get the URL instead of the image. Apache responds to the request with a 200 OK code.

I did find that in the page information FF gives out, it says the the file size is 0KB.

So ... why does it take up the right amount of space, but serve 0KB?
