PHP - apache log parser

Hello folks,

Does anyone know where I can locate a good apache log parser written in php?

I just need the core code that can handle the parsing and then I can store to a database and run some statistics.

It can't be that hard to write one on your own... simple preg_match cases....

I have only found two that come close to working, but have some problems... which happen to be with the preg_match stuff.

I have never had the pleasure of working with preg_match and have only been working with PHP for a short while. I have looked at the PHP manual and it is going to take me a bit to understand how the preg_match works... that is why I was trying to find a working script to start from.

The 2 I have found use the preg_match and at first glance it is overwhelming if you have never dealth with the preg_match stuff...and I haven't.

Oh well... studying the preg_match now to see if I can follow what this beast does.

Don't study preg_match, study Regular Expressions.... there are plenty of tutorials online for it 😉
