PHP coding questions regarding text variables

Hello Folks!

First off, I know nothing about PHP, but I have a dilemma! I have a text file (purple text at the bottom) where each line has to be a variable...I have a PHP code (dark orange text) which works great, except when I try to read the new text file into flash, all variables that start with a number are invalid.

Is there a small amendment to the PHP code that can be written in that will allow all variables that start with a number to begin with say the letter "h", i.e. now reads "&403_2b" but if it could read "&h403_2b" that would save me sooooooo much time!

Below I have provided my PHP code that works fine, but without this new "tweak".

This is the phpttpwest.txt output i get running your php code. Can you explain a bit better how you want the output to look? I can't see where &403_2b occurs. Do you mean &i403_2b?

Thanks for the post. I noticed in my PHP code I posted here I included the letter "i" beside the "&" symbol. I know that this would be a quick fix, but not the fix I was intending to see nor use.

I just want the variable that lead with a number to have a letter in front of them, the other variables are fine the way they are since they already begin with a letter. Does this make sense? I hope so...and thanks for your post.

Note you can not start a variable with a number with PHP.
