For BBCode to HTML and vice versa

it ain't the Grail, but just xxxxxxxxxxxxxx ... figured i'd share. it's got 2 downloads there, one of which he calls the "All New XHTML Compliant BBCode Parser"

EDIT: hold on a second.. i didn't read enough of that. i think this may be bad news??

can't tell... i'm not savvy enough to get what the XSS chatter is all about... ooops. sorry!

what i was saying (since you can't delete posts anymore it seems) is that the thing i saw, which i thought was cool because it did a lot of stuff w/ php, bbcode, html, and i guess regex, might have been of interest to someone who would like to dissect that sort of thing to see how it ticks (as 'hackers' typically are want to do)

then, i realized there was a lot of discussion, apparently bashing this guy for creating a security risk tool-- so, i removed the URL because i didn't want to be mistakenly in agreement with soliciting that type of material.

hope that makes sense. it's really nothing... would have deleted the thing, but i don't think you can anymore (unless i'm missing something?)

I see...Well its kind of hard to figure that out from a muddled half-post with no link.

If you are after a BBCode Parser - I'm sure there are heaps around.

the reason i stumbled onto it-- i found a web site, vbulletin/ phpbb2 style, wherein it's encouraged to submit educational / tutorial material, if originally authored by the registrant, but the text, images, etc are required to be part of a post there, not just a URL as one might be inclined to do. so, since i've got something in html, i wanted to post it there-- so, i really need html to bbcode... it's really not important, but hey, if someone knows of something worthwhile, then i'd appreciate a URL.
