divide into pages

for every forum, if the posts exceed certain amount, it will divide into several pages.
the question is how can I do that !?
for example the first page of the forum i can just use " select content from post order by time limit 10 "
I think this will do the first page, but with the second page how can i make it to get the next 10 posts ( from 11 - 20 )..!?
