user validation problems

i am trying to get the following code to work but no matterwhat i do the page always says please enter a movie name no matter whether i enter one or not.

Please could someone help

i have attached the files to the page as they are quite long many thanks to anyone who can help me as i have hit rock bottom

$movie_name = trim($row[ 'movie_name' ]);

No where on that page have you assigned $row[ 'movie_name' ] so $movie_name will always be empty
