I have a field only accept decimal value. Such as 100000.00, or 100.00 etc.
I also add the notes next to the field, plus the value validation code. Still, people would like to input
100,000.00 etc.
Instead of reject this value, I can accept this value and strip off the comma, but now here comes another issue, if the client is from Europe, he may input 100.00 as "100,00". If I strip off the comma, I change the value from 100 to 10000.
Is there a solid code to covert the value to the right decimal value? No matter American people put 100,000.00, or European people put in 100,00, it will be converted to 100000.00 and 100.00 right.
Or better, if people put in $840,000.00 or whatever money figure format, first we will strip off the dollar, euro or pounds sign and then we will conver the number to right decimal value?
