mail() doesnt sending mail to hotmail

as in title my mail code doesnt send to hotmail emails but others send correctly , this is my code

Try just using \n as a line break in your headers.

Also, add some more headers, such as Reply-To, Return-Path, etc.

EDIT: Through my experience, it seems to be that Hotmail is a tough one to get e-mail through to. If all else fails, you may just have to warn users that they should expect an e-mail automatically generated by a web application and that it may end up being marked as Spam by their Spam filters, so they should either whitelist the From address you're using or check their spam folders.

EDIT2: Also, what is the purpose of the extra "[e-mail]" parameter?

What message do you get? I assume that Hotmail bounces the messages. What does that bounce look like? Can you paste it?

Please paste all relevant logs of your mail server (MTA) too.

Tell us what version of which MTA you're using.

(TIP: If using IIS as your MTA, it doesn't create any useful logs, you'll need a packet sniffer to see what's happening. Don't paste sniffer dumps here without being very careful as they may contain confidential info).

but still not working , i think the problem is this email go as spam

and i didnt recieve any error in my email or in my code

I thought this might be what you were doing... but you didn't exactly get the syntax correct. That parameter is actual a "-f" followed by the from e-mail address. So, in your case, the last parameter should be "[e-mail]".

Change that and give it a shot... let us know if it still gets tagged as spam by Hotmail.

Not sure what to say then... I'm out of ideas.

Other than my suggestion in one of my previous posts about warning users of Spam filters and whatnot, I'm not sure what more there is to do.

I have many ideas which may be able to help you, but if you're unprepared to post the info you're getting from your MTA, I cannot help you.

Please post the MTA software version and logs as I requested.

hotmail has some strange issue with headers in a message. I am still investigating this, and have devoted many hours to trying to nail it down.

something I have come up with however, is if you use gmail, and receive a message, then go to the "more options" link in the email, and then "show original", it pops up a window with the email content (including all headers etc). If you cut this, and paste it into a telnetted SMTP conversation to hotmail's servers, the message gets through.

It's something I am REALLY trying to figure out.

I guess what people aren't understanding is that THERE ARE NO ERRORS being generated, there are NO BOUNCES, no ERRORS etc. I've gotten down to the PACKET level to try and dissect what is wrong here, and can't figure it out. I have contacted hotmail support, and am awaiting an answer.

You Have to designate a smtp server to use to control the mail....

Have you looked in the junk mail folder (probably asking a redundant question) almost all my Hotmail except from MSN or Microsoft goes there.

Bummer.

I would claim that this is bad form on Microsoft's behalf (for Hotmail). A mail server should really either reject a mail via SMTP, deliver it to a mailbox, or bounce it. It shouldn't do anything else, this includes throwing it down a black hole.

It's possible that your server's IP has got on some blacklist - although I'd have thought that they would simply reject messages from it in that case. It's also possible that your server's reverse DNS is dodgy in some way and they've decided to blackhole messages on some criteria.

Even though AOL are bad, I'm not aware of them blackholing messages, usually their servers refuse to accept (apparently valid) messages that they don't like based on some secret policy which is documented as being secret, subject to change from time to time and decided on the basis of a whim.
