Switch user phpmyadmin

I have two users one is root without a password and another username with password in mysql How should i switch to one with password in phpmyadmin.when i take phpmyadmin it logs in with root username.Please help

Like in this part of the phpmyadmin folder of the config.inc file

Be careful and make a backup incase of a mini disaster like not being able to use phpMyAdmin at all.

If you're going to be switching between the two constantly, or want some security (so not just anyone can go to your PMA and login w/o knowing a password), switch the 'auth_type' to either http or cookie.
