[RESOLVED] Internet-wide setcookie ()

Can you specify the domain to be ANY domain? I want my cookie to apply to my public domain, *.jaredbrandt.com, as well as my home server, jerak.gotdns.com. However, I don't want to assume that both domains end in .com.

setcookie ('hey', 'yes', time () + 86400, '/', '.');

Something to that effect?

No, for security reasons, that was deliberately left out of the system. You can, however, have one page that sets a cookie for more than one domain. For example, let's say that you want your cookie recognized on all the following domains: foo.com, bar.com, foo.net, willy.org, and handjive,edu. What you do is write a little script that sets a cookie and outputs an invisible GIF. Then on your page, you have a bunch of <IMG> tags that call that PHP script like this:
<img src="http://www.foo.com/invis_cookie.php">
<img src="http://www.bar.com/invis_cookie.php">
<img src="http://www.foo.net/invis_cookie.php">
<img src="http://www.willy.org/invis_cookie.php">
<img src="http://www.handjive.edu/invis_cookie.php">

In this way, hitting one page sets cookies on five different domains so that when the user goes over to any of those domains, they will be able to read the cookie.
