hello. i'm diggin on the PHP Local chm manual-- sure do wish i had an ide which actually worked seamlessly, but that's another story-- at least i've got it opening along w/ my ide's own help-- sort of mixed in...

my question is this-- when i select the hyperlink , for example, to "View this Page Online", does anyone out there know how to get the Win CHM Viewer thing to load pages into Firefox instead of IE? i've tried a few things-- but i don't think it's your typical %system%appname issue here (if i've got that close at all-- i could be completely wrong of course).

i have gone into Set Program Access and Defaults, and changed the setting there-- done everything i can think of-- but i haven't entered anything manually, such as in the Environment Var's PATH or what have you... (yes, pulling at straws... huntin' and a peckin'!)

i appreciate any help. i suppose php.net is safe enough to go bare-back, but normally i like to have Firefox and NOScript running for that extra protected feeling.

thanks!

I just downloaded the CHM (not the extended zip) and I don't see that link says "View thsi Page Online" so I couldn't help you.....

But I think it's just built in to the windows OS that if it's a CHM file, you're stuck with IE.... 🙁
The HTML zip format has all the pages and uses the OSes default browser 😉
