Need a little help. It seems I'm in a little over my head as I'm not sure how to go about visualizing this database. I want to lend out books to people and be able to keep track of where the books are and where they've been.
Currently I have a table for storing the "renters" id, names, and phone numbers. I have no need to store the address since this is just for me to keep up w/ local friends. There's a books table that records a books ISBN, title, author, and it's current status(in or out).
That's all good and well, though I'm sure it's probably not the most efficient way to go about it, but I have absolutely no idea how to keep track of the transactions.
Any tips/suggestions on how I can track who has what book, who has had the book in the past, what dates/how long they had the book, etc., etc.?
