downloads available to registered users only

i was wondering how you would made a list of files available to download only to people who register on your site.

but if an unregistered user tried to download it, it would say "please login or register" or something

Try this script.

If you want them to signup automatically use vSignup if you want to sign them up use vAuth.

What this script does is allows you to manage members on your site and if you want to restrict them from a certain page just add 3 lines of coding ont the top of the page.

Simple.

You can also block it from certain user groups and user levels.

You must have MYSQL though.

I would put the files in a directory outside of the web root, to force a user to use your website to access the file. Then I would just make sure that the page that delivers the downloads is protected by a username and password.

ok im offically confused with the vScript and vAuth, i do have phpMyAdmin installed but whenever i go to mysite/blahblah/index.php, it shows me nothing but my domain name listed at the top and a link to control panel- thats it O_O ....

but anyways, im not going to attempt trying that again sooo, is there another easy way to do this?
