Can u change the permisions of the files by using a ftp client?

In order to delete a file the web server process needs write permission to the directory. You do not however want to allow this as it opens up all sorts of security issues. Your best bet is to use the [man]ftp[/man] functions as these will be executed with your user permissions.

oooo... Thats a good idea? I'll go and play about with that now - Can i use the FTP function to move,copy etc easily too?
