Advice *** use a pre-build server such as apache2triad or XAMPP when you start using php. As you develop things will make more sense. Do not deal with IIS (Microsoft) though some like it as a webserver. PHP/MYSQL/APACHE is great

Its well to do but it often time generates poor code because it focuses on developing that aspect of your PHP app. While you should keep in mind the wider scope of your app.
