List Friends

I've spent all night searching for a script to implement but can't find one, so I am asking for recomendations.

I need a script that will allow people to register, log in and enter people's names so that they build thier personal list of friends.

I need others to be able to find those users and view thier list of friends.

I do failry well implementing scripts and MySQL databases, but am not so strong in writing PHP code (VB I can do).

Any help?

The theories are no different in any language. If you want to do it in php, why not take a look at the manual and go from there, if you get stuck, post some code and we can help you out.
