Converting Chr to Ascii Value

this is doing my head in 😃 i want to convert a single chr 'A' to its asci value but cant find the command to do this..

i can however turn a value into a Chr eg

echo chr(65);

[laserlight]

Use [man]ord/man.

[n_wattam]

ahhhhh, cheers.... i did come across that command but dismiss it because i didnt think it looked like the command.. 😃
