Regex help

Hi,

I'm writing data from one db (a) to another (b).

Some field contents of the (a) db are text strings, and all will be starting with one of eleven sets of words. I want to be able to spot these, and substitute an abbreviation.

The string could be "Aelwyd Dyffryn Nantlle", so I would like it to be "Ael Dyffryn Nanttle". Or "Ysgol Gynradd Santes Helen" to "YsGyn Santes Helen".

I've just read somewhere about using ^ to spot whole strings, but I want to check for 11 strings for each entry.
