a way to hide html codes?

When you right click a page you can view the source. Is there some kind of code to hide the source when you right click a page?

Yes, you can use javascript to disallow right click but you can go to view > page source or just disable javascript.

Why would you want to hide HTML?

I want to hide it just because I've spent a lot of time on it. I just don't want people taking it and putting it elsewhere.

Ah. Then either don't put it on the web at all, or make viewing dependent on membership, etc.

No other ways about it.

If they want to see your code they will, I would not waste my time trying to hide it.

Practical upshot: if you don't want them to have it then don't give it to them - except you have to give it to them for them to see it.

Ultimately, what the DOM inspector displays is the DOM of whatever is being rendered at the time that it is rendered - alterations and all; the browser window inside the inspector is live.

I don't think anyone would go to the effort of stealing HTML code these days because there simply is no point. Besides sharing is the way of the internet... including credit card details 😃

This is a stupid solution and I don't really recommend it (nice preface for advice, eh?) but I've seen it done before and it will fool the not-so-savvy internet users... simply add a ton of blank lines at the beginning of the script and unless the person knows to scroll down, they will assume the source code is blank. You would be surprised how many people fall for that one.

I generally just add a comment threatening to report them to Elizabeth if they misuse the code. That always gets the job done.

LoL... I'm laughing because I fell for it in the early stages of my learning.

I remember when I first started learning how to code HTML and saw such a thing which had me totally convinced that it was possible. I spent half an hour searching the web on how to do it, until I saved the source code only to find that it was whitespace.
