Install PHP5 & Apache2.2.2

Hi, Can anyone help me?

I have installed Apache 2.2.2. When i was looking through all the installation
manuals for PHP, they were outdated and their instructions differed among the
different version of PHP.

Can anyone be kind to write down the installation steps for PHP 5.1.4 for window XP. Or direct me to any links that have that, that will be great. I have been searching for such tutorials on that over many places but can only find ones for MAC.

If your having troubles installing from the instructions in the manual then maybe you would be more suited to something like xampp.

Actually thorpe, PHP 5.1.4 doesn't support Apache 2.2.x. If you use the .dll located in http://www.apachelounge.com/download/mods/php5apache2.dll-php5.1.x.zip you should have no problems.

PHP will be releasing php5apache2_2.dll in 5.2.0. However, that being said, nobody has released a fix for Linux users in the same situation.

Yup really super grateful to the Steffen at apachelounge. My php is now running properly. Yup please click on wad's link to follow the instruction in the zip file.

Important note to newbies like myself, well we may have another sets of problem
awaiting for us...

I needed the apache and php because i wanted a simple contact form.
After all the hassle, i found out that the tutorials out there are outdated.
Sigh!!!! Despite my apache and PHP working, the scripts in tutorial just dont work as they are meant for lower version of PHP. And since majority of my braincells died, i'm taking a break for now.

BTW, JOTFORM is a good alternative if you need contact form too. (http://www.jotform.com)
