Problems with basic chat.

i am using this tutorial for my 1st chat room.

i used the files from the tutorial and put my settings in correctly. it doesnt work.
i already set up the database tables too.

i think its a $host='localhost'; problem. i used my settings from my database. and it says 'to many users'. when i used my actual name prefered by my database that didnt work either.

Well.. If you have set it up exactly as in the scripts on the page, and it doesn't work, why don't you check their online forums, or drop the websiteowner an email?

If you modified the code, and that is why it doesn't work/ let us know what you modified

Sorry,. but there are 5 pages of code involved as far as I can tell. Please don't expect us to flee through all of those.

i read the entire tutorial. then i decided to use his files to see if it worked. then if it did i would go indepth with it more. the only page i changed was the configuration file.(config.inc.php). and that was to put in my settings for my website.

i didnt post on thier fourms beacuse i am a member here and didnt want to register there. i dont expect anyone to go though all of that in such a rush. Any feedback would be glady welcomed.

Do you really expect us to go through all these files, if you have not tried the logical paths to your answer? As the forum on the chat, on the site were you got it from, and ask the creator of the package, if you didn't modify it.

Support forums on specific packages are just that.. To help you with issues that may arrise when using these packages.
