Simple order question

I have a list of publications. Each has name, Volume, Number and a marker whether it is a supplement or not.

I need to order them like that:

Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 3
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 4
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 4 (supplement)
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 5

I am trying to do this:

ORDER BY name, volume, supplement DESC, number

But I get this:

Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 3
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 4
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 5
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 4 (supplement)

if i do this:

ORDER BY name, volume, supplement, number

I get this:

Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 4 (supplement)
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 3
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 4
Wheels Vol. 30, Num. 5

Where do I go wrong?

ORDER BY name, volume, number, supplement ASC

That will order it first by name (A-Z) then by volume (1-100) then by the number (1-5) and then by its supplement (0-1).

The basic thing to remember about ORDER is that it orders after the previous ordered column.... so you want to make sure you order them in the order you want them ordered 😉

Perfect, thanks. The only think I changed was DESC instead of ASC, otherwise the supplement was getting ahead of the main issue.
