PHP Extension on Windows

Hi,

I am looking for some sample code to help me to write a PHP extension .dll for Windows.

I have found various information on the web on writing PHP extensions but very little that is focused on Windows. Here is one, however it was written a few years ago and uses PHP 4.

I would actually prefer if the sample code and, more importantly, the Visual C++ 6 project file itself were available. Project settings are always fraught with difficulties. It is not as if I could not figure it out eventually, the problem is that right now I literally have almost no time. And I would definitely prefer something using PHP 5!

Does anyone know of anywhere on the web where such a sample is available? I realize this may be a long shot but it would help immensely if there is such a thing out there.

Why not just download the php source and look in the ext directory?

Also, there are a few good examples over at http://zend.com

The ext directory doesn't contain MS Visual C++ project files.

Yes, the source is in C. The extension sources are available in the ext folder, as you said.

However what I want are the (*.dsp) project files. They would contain the compile and link settings, and all necessary directory path information.

If you are not familiar with Windows development I am guessing that this may correspond to Makefiles in Unix/Linux (although I am not familiar with development on that platform and am not 100% sure).
