[RESOLVED] Convert decimal number to percentage

I am stumped on this issue and was hoping that someone may be able to assist me on figuring this out.

Example Numbers:
0.17
-0.12
1.21

What I need to display is:
17%
-12%
121%

Just for reference, I am importing the example numbers from Excel into a MySQL database and then referencing them from there. At this time, it is just displaying them as the example numbers.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

multiply by 100 and then add a "%"

$num = 0.17;
echo $num * 100 . '%'; // outputs 17%

$num = -0.12;
echo $num * 100 . '%'; // outputs -12%

$num = 1.21;
echo $num * 100 . '%'; // outputs 121%
