Embedding PHPBB with PHP Includes

Here's what I'm trying to do.

I have a header at:

<? include("movies/hoot/header.php"); ?>

Each film has a header at the same place, that I will change as each one is coming out.

Anyway, I would like to put the forum between the header and this footer:

<? include("footer.php"); ?>

I'm not sure where to insert the includes codes to make this happen.

The full paths to the headers are http://www.waldenfans.com/movies/MOVIESECTION/header.php (where MOVIESECTION = the directory for the particular movie.. in this case: Hoot, which is at http://www.waldenfans.com/movies/hoot/header.php)

The footer will always be the same one, and that is at http://www.waldenfans.com/footer.php

If you need any more information, just ask. (And don't worry about the ugly design.. that's just temporary, as I'm still working on getting the navigation to be 100% user friendly.)

PHP reads through your code and parses it into HTML in the order of the code.

If you want something between your header.php and footer.php, put it in-between them.
Your PHP code could be as simple as:
<? include("movies/hoot/header.php");
include("forum.php");
include("footer.php"); ?>

Now, a quick thought on your design:
If your Header file is made up of the logo and changing the names in the links, consider doing this dynamically. Instead of having to create a new folder for each movie and create a new header for each one, have your Header and Footer in your root (or better, an Includes directory in your root). Dynamically create the info in the header based on what the user selects (if the select Hoot, then have it display the Hoot image, make the links the Hoot links, etc.). Just a thought, it may save you a lot of time down the road.

Hey, thanks! I am curious if you have and sites that I could look at for an example of a dynamic website such as this, as well as any such tutorials that might get me started. I've just started out doing this website dynamically, and I'm learning as I go. I have designed many websites in the past, but never anything as streamlined as this one, and if I can go even more streamlined than this, that's even better!

I am pretty new to this, so others may have better suggestions, but your best bet will be to start using a database as a back-end.

Say someone clicks on HOOT. Have the link be http://whatever/index.php?MovieID=Hoot
Even better would be to have the list of movies in the database, then you can have it be MovieID=62 (whatever the index value is for Hoot).
Then, your Index.php page can $_GET['MovieID'] and you can use that in a SQL query for your image and content (WHERE MovieID=63).

My best advice would be to try a Google search for dynamic website with php or go to your local library and check out some PHP books. Most of the ones I have seen reference this.

If you build it this way, you only have to build the page once, then you can just load the information into the database.

Okay, cool. I'm just not sure how much that will work, as I change the logo and plan on changing the cascading style sheet based on the film as well.

As far as the forum solution though, I tried, to no avail. It almost worked, but for this:

What that means is that there is something that needs to happen in your code (in sessions.php on line 254, 255, etc.) before any output is generated.

Check out sessions.php and see what it does. Check the lines listed and see what the commands are on them.

If sessions.php is INCLUDED in your other php page and does not generate output, you can try changing it to include_once 'sessions.php'; in your forum page and then add include_once 'sessions.php'; ABOVE the <HTML> tag in your main page.
