query acrosss two tables

OK I have TableA, which contains a Sales field, as well as a SalesmanID field.
I have TableB, which contains the same SalesmanID field, as well as the SalesmanName field.

I want to print out a report that will list all the sales of each sales person but does not list their sales ID. How do I word a query to identify the salesmanID in TableA with the salesmanName in TableB and link the name in TableB with the actual Sales as listed in TableA?

I know I'd use Join, but I was reading up on it at a couple of mysql tutorial pages and I don't understand how they do it since they didn't actually use the word "Join", they used commas in one example. I'm a little confused.

If I Have more data fields in a table ( say that table A also had a SaleDate field), would I still use Select * FROM TableA ?

SELECT Sales, SalesmanName FROM TableA, TableB WHERE TableA.SalesmanID = TableB.SalesmanID ORDER BY SalesmanName

You might want to ORDER BY Sales. It's up to you.
