how to order alphabetically but showing a value first?

Hi all,

I need to order query results alphabetically BUT I also need to start showing them starting from one of these values.

eg.

if my records are: yellow, brown, red, green, white

I need to show "red" records first and then other ones in alphabetic order:

red
brown
green
white

Is it possible to do this using a query only?

ORDER BY 
CASE 
  WHEN color='red' then 1
  WHEN color='brown' then 2
  ...
END

in the mean time I have solved with:

SELECT color, CASE color WHEN 'red' THEN 1 ELSE 2 END 'mycolor'
FROM colors
ORDER BY mycolor, color
