software recommendations???

I currently have a website (www.joannawilsonphoto.com) but it needs a facelift. I had paid a designer to create the site originally, but now I want to update it and make simple changes myself. The site was done in PHP.

So I need to find a software that will let me upload my current (PHP) site, and make changes to it without having to start over. Mac only, and preferably not too expensive.

Does anyone have recommendations for this newbie?

In fact you need just any simple texteditor to edit source code and a ftp client. Better would be a local webserver to test it locally befor uploading. But I have no clue, if there is anything out for macs.
