This seems like an appropriate place considering the board communitys overal focus...
Basically I'm trying to do this..
I have a blogs page at blogs.mysite.com
Its also accessible via www.mysite.com/blogs/ however, I want any attempts other than blogs.mysite.com to be redirected to blogs.mysite.com WITH the added URI... so in the case of...
http://www.mysite.com/blogs/myPetsBlog (possibly having a / on the end)
or
http://www.mysite.com/blogs/myfile.php
the user ends up at
http://blogs.mysite.com/myPetsBlog (again with or without the /)
or
http://blogs.mysite.com/myfile.php
What I have been trying is along the lines of...
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !blogs.mysite.com(/.)?$ [NC]
RewriteRule $(.)/blogs(/.*)? http://blogs.mysite.com$2 [R=301,L]
just going to mysite.com/blogs/ or mysite.com/blogs will redirect fine to blogs.mysite.com but anything beyond like /blogs/myfile.php will not....
Any help is appreciated, 2 days now and still not getting this 🙁
