Help with session identification

Hi guys,

i'm a noob at php and i'm not certain if what i need to be done can be done, or whether i can explain what i need but here goes.

i have a webpage (lets call it x.php) and a webpage on another website (lets call this page y.php). when i log into y.php, i have to provide a username and password thereafter it provides me with a session id. i can see the session id in the url in the address bar.

is there any way that i can get the session id or even the full url (including the session id) to be displayed on x.php ?

any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

No, i'm really not trying to do that sort of thing.

you see we have abit of a problem with the one system where i work. we have this one website (x.php) where we can re-submit individual, lets call them serials.

the problem is that we now have an absolute tonne of serials and i don't wanna manually resubmit them. i figured if i could capture the session id and after retrieving it, resubmit all of them via a script it would make life a whole lot easier. any ideas?
