Does anyone know of a goodbook to Learn PHP and SQL?

I'm Reading Larry Ullmans"PHP and MYSQL" right now. I find his style of writing easy to understand, with simple examples and good explanations. The book is $30, but is a hefty 400 plus pages and covers sql commands, PHP, and mysql as they relate to developing webpages.

I also read his beginners PHP book prior to reading this one. He replied to an email of mine that he considers the phpmysql book as a good follow up to the beginners php one, which after getting part way into it, I agree with.

I have bought 2 PHP/mySQL books, by Larry Ullman. So many to read, it didn't help me 🙁

Few days ago, the other forum someone asked the same question as yours: http://www.w3schools.com/sql/default.asp - it only helped me for 1 day, damn helpful!! I wasted my money on php books!!

For absolutely no cost to you at all try Practical PHP Programming it is an online book and well written. The good part is there are no coffee stains or torn pages.

I got started with PHP and MySQL from a great online tutorial written by Kevin Yank of sitepoint.com.

However, the tutorial has now been expanded and compiled into an actual book that is bound to be great as well.

I found 'How to do just about everything with PHP & MySQL very useful. It's a little out of date now, but I found the concepts very clear. Combined with this forum I've achieved a hell of a lot!
