MySQL remote connection

I have my own site and I have a forum on it (my own design) and i now want to share the DB with a mate on another server. Now MySQL only allows localhost connections so how can my mate get info from my DB???

All you need do is give your friend the public address of your mysql server and ensure you setup an account for him to connect via (preferably locked down to only his ip).
